For our missions opportunity during the month of October, the student ministry will be focusing on getting shoeboxes packed up for Operation Christmas Child. There are millions of children in need around the world who have never received a gift. These boxes will be taken to children around the world to not only provide them with a gift, but ultimately they will be used to share the gift of the Gospel of Jesus. Each year Samaritan’s Purse partners with churches like ours to be able to spread the gospel around the globe through these gifts. Along with each shoebox distributed, each child also receives a Gospel booklet that is published in over 80 languages.
How are we going to help?
Throughout the month, items can be brought in and collected in the students’ small groups either on Sundays or Wednesdays. On November 13th, as part of our Serve Day, we will have a packing party to pack the shoeboxes. If you have any more questions please contact us!
